Last week, I attended an event. One of many lately, that required hours of travel. At first, I expected it to feel like yet another “business” networking event. The kind where everyone’s in a hurry to talk numbers, hand out cards, and exchange pleasantries.
But this one was different.
Even though 90% of the attendees were founders and business owners, the energy in the room felt genuine. A shared passion brought us together. It wasn’t about deals, but it was about discovery.
And there was a moment one that felt almost like fate.
As I stood there, I noticed someone who caught my attention. Something about his presence was magnetic, his demeanor familiar. He looked strikingly like Alex Hormozi.
Without hesitation, I approached him and said, “You look like Alex Hormozi.”
He gave me a wide smile, asked for my contact information, and, surprisingly, invited me to dinner.
Later that evening, our conversation left a mark.
Hours passed like minutes, and as we spoke, I felt something profound.
I was rediscovering thoughts stuck inside my mind. Thoughts I had already known but never truly explored.
He shared philosophies, ideas, and frameworks that had guided him up to the age of 35, concepts rooted in life, mindset, and growth.
And so today, I’m sharing some of these lessons with you.
1. Manifestation Beyond the Object
Most of us manifest goals, “I want my dream car.”
But what if you took it a step further?
Instead of focusing on the object, manifest the experience tied to it. Visualize the first road trip you’ll take in that car. Picture the wind in your hair, the music playing, and the journey itself.
When you shift from the thing to the activity, the outcome often becomes automatic.
2. The Invisible Scale of “Good” and “Bad”
The world will always have opinions about you, some will praise you, others will criticise you.
Never let someone else define your level of “good” or “bad.”
If you’re being overly praised, stay humble and measure yourself on your own invisible scale.
If someone disregards you, take a moment to reflect: Are they right? How bad am I, really?
No one. Except you, gets to define where you stand.
3. Stay Grounded
“Remind yourself. You are just a man.”
No matter how far you go, no matter how many good things happen, stay grounded.
Remember where you came from, because the same road that led you here can take you back. Success can be fleeting. Stay humble, stay real.
4. Fix Yourself Before Blaming Others
Conflicts and challenges are a part of life, but the moment you start blaming others, you lose control.
Instead, zoom out and ask yourself:
What’s really happening here?
Have I done everything I could to fix my side of the situation?
Take accountability first. If you’re part of the problem, you can be part of the solution.
A Thought to End With:
"You have power over your mind—not outside events. Realise this, and you will find strength." – Marcus Aurelius
This week, take time to rediscover yourself. The answers you seek might already be inside you, waiting for the right moment to surface.
Thank you for reading,
Until next week,
Micdadh
